Volunteer Team & Organization

Snake River Search (SRS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation headquartered in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The corporation originated in 1958 and has operated over the years as “Bonneville County Sheriff’s Jeep Patrol” and “Bonneville County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue.” Membership consists of highly committed and well-trained volunteers who have hundreds of years of combined experience and have donated tens of thousands of hours and miles providing services. No member receives compensation for their time, supplies, clothing or the services they provide. The organization is funded solely by donations, grants, fundraisers and the contributions of its members. Snake River Search provides the community with a highly trained, qualified, and proficient SAR team capable of leveraging cutting-edge technology to reduce risk, improve outcomes, and educate the public. Together we create an organization that works to keep the Intermountain West residents and visitors safe in the back-country 24 hours a day — 7 days a week
